Week 11 Story: The Journey through Hibernation

There once were two Sibling bears Sasha and Jacob that lived deep in the San Angelo National forest in the mountainous Colorado. They were preparing for the upcoming hibernation period by collecting food to suffice through the length of winter. Jacob the older of the siblings suggested getting a surplus of berries and pinecones because this would last all winter. Sasha agreed, and they split up to find as many resources as possible. When they regrouped a week later Jacob brought enough to last 2/3 of the hibernation period. Through this length of time Sasha was unable to find any source of food, and when Jacob asked what she found she said enough to last 1/3 of the hibernation period.   Jacob accepted this answer and went on with his day preparing his den where they would stay.   The elk spirit was watching over Jacob and saw Sasha did not collect any food, and remembered what Jacob had done for the elk community years before. Three years earlier the elk population w...

On a nice cool fall day in September chad set out on a trip to trek and camp in the Rocky Mountains in the beautiful and wild Alberta, Canada. He told his friends and coworkers where he was going and to expect great pictures and stories when he returned. He set out on his trek at the beginning of the month and was planning on staying out for two weeks. Chad hiked in to a nice little secluded spot he found on google earth that seemed to be the greatest spot, overlooking a glowing and amazing section of the mountain range. The first night he set up camp, made his dinner and enjoyed the sunset. Throughout the next few days he enjoyed hiking to the peaks and watching the wildlife, making small drawings and taking pictures of the beautiful scenery. After the fourth day he noticed the water he had packed in was depleting rather quickly and he had not accounted for this.  His phone had no signal because he was in the mountains and he had no idea where a water source could possib...

He once had a teammate whose name was Jared, who he had done wrong to unintentionally, but Jared never seemed to forgive him.   They came up through the ranks together all the way to their senior year where both of them ended up being drafted by the Pittsburg Penguins. They were both climbing up the ranks on the team and found themselves to be two of the best on the team, let alone in the NHL. Time came and the captain of the Pittsburg Penguins at the time retired. The coach had two guys in mind to take his place, Tom and Jared. Tome was in the better position to take the job because of the connections he had made with the rest of the teammates, but Jared would not let this stop him.   Because way ba...

When the young eagle was big enough the mother gave him his first big task. The young eagle spread its great growing wings wide and took flight for the trip across the valley. As he made his way closer to the tall pine tree he landed just a little before the chipmunks c...
