Story Lab: Writers Lab

I used the story lab assignment to navigate the Writers Write website that was provided, and I read two of many helpful articles. One of the helpful articles was 10 Good Reasons To Read More Books I thought this was a good read because it hit on many points. One of the points that stuck with me was “You can keep your brain simulated”, this is interesting to me because it is something I try to do in periods of free time whether it is between classes, after class or before exams. I believe keeping a stimulated mindset throughout the day is key for a successful day. The second point that was interesting was “You’re less likely to be a terrible person”, this caught my attention because I had never really thought of it before. But after reading it talks about that reading improves empathy, helps your ability to communicate, as well as boosts your creativity. Reading Notes: Narayan Part D

Once Hanuman makes it across the ocean of Lanka, he makes his way and finds sita in the Ashoka Vana where she is guarded by demons. Hanuan lets Indrajit, Ravana’s son, capture him and bring him to Ravana. Mahodara offers to defeat the monkeys. Hanuman is inclined to trust Vibhishana but Surgriva and Jambavan are suspicious. Rama treats Vibhishana as the ruler of Lanka in exile. Rama orders the sea god to help his armies across the water to lanka. Ravana sends out sends out his spies disguised as monkeys.   Rama orders the attack on lanka. Kumbakarna promises to defeat Rama. Ravana despairs when he hears of Kumbakarna’s defeat. Before Ravanas battle with Rama, Ravana sees omnious signs but he is still scornful of Rama because he is a mere mortal.       Because Sita is terrified for Rama’s well being she makes Lakshmana go help him. When Sita is left alone, Ravana picks up the ground she is standing on and fly’s away with her. Jatayu tries to rescue sita from Ravana but is killed in the process, but before he dies tells Rama and Lakshmana which way ravana went. Rama and Lakshmana head south to the monkey kingdom where the Hanuman sees there coming and disguises as a scholar which Rama sees right through. The demon Mayavi challenges Vali, then Vali chases Mayavi into a cave. Then Sugriva loses his wife. Vali can not mount Matanga because of a curse that was placed on him from when he killed Dundubhi and hurled its carcass, so it fell near the sage Matanga and angered him. Sita threw her jewelry when she was kidnapped, and the monkeys found it on the ground, then give it to Rama and agree to help find her. Sugriva challenges Vali, which vali laughs at. Rama hides and shoots at Vali during the fight. Then Vali argue...
