Reading Notes: Rama Marches on Lanka

The reading notes are conducted over “Rama Marches in Lanka” from the reading of Gould, Divine Archer. In this Rama and his army build a large bridge to lanka, that was engineered by the two monkeys Nala and Nila. Once Rama crosses over the bridge he signals his arrival to Lanka by shooting one of his arrows into Ravana’s own court, in the action of doing this Ravana’s crown gets knocked off.  In this story I took that the theme was that if you are going into enemy territory, go boldly.
